This is a great temple built in chola period, which is in a dome like pattern of construction.One of the most aspecious features of this temple is that it has two nandhies by nature ,which no other temple has around the world.An old inscription in a flat stone lies inbuilt in the gopuram(vimanam), which reveals some names of great chola kings, which gives identity that great chola kings have once built and worshipped this temple in the beginning.People from archeological researches have approved this temple as a a powerful diety place that have been worshiped by great saints and wages in the past . The temples opening stone log had snake like curved -S- architectural design on it .The temples corners also had raft like curved design on it .Some old histories from the village ancestors reveal that the temple also had an own pond
